How To Tell Your Story with a Web Page:
You can make your own web page to tell your story, and we will post it on our site. Simply e-mail the html code and the associated files to:
We believe that telling our own stories about what Jesus has done for us is an important part of what we are called to as His followers. It is our hope through CrossPurposes to provide a starting point for Christians to tell that story in many other contexts. At the same time, we know that telling your story comes with costs. Please pray about your decision prior to posting, and recognize that when your story is printed, you are identifying yourself to a vast potential audience as a follower of Jesus. That kind of identification can lead to many things, including persecution, and because of this, posting here is an act of faith.
It also should be an act of care. We encourage everyone to take a significant block of time to think about, pray about, and compose a story for this site. We should care enough about the One who died for us to take the time to tell our stories well. This doesn't mean they have to be great writing or great literature, but they should reflect a thoughtful consideration of the things we truly owe God for, and of the real meaning Jesus has in our lives.
Web Page specific rules:
1. No Links - we will not post links to other websites on individual web pages.
2. No access to external documents or data. In order to maintain site integrity, and integrity of the message presented, any page updates will have to be performed by resubmission. We cannot post pages that are updated externally, or rely on external content. Please triple check your page before submission. :)
3. No large videos - any flash or other content should be restricted to 1Mb or less in order to preserve our bandwidth.
4. Please keep it simple. We want artistic creativity, and encourage it, but technical creativity can cause problems. So be artistic with your visuals, but not your code :). The more elaborate and unconventional your code, the more time it will take for us to post your page.
5. Only one page. We cannot post multiple page submissions.
6. Make sure you have a right to use the images and content on your page. By sending it to us, you are telling us that you do.
